  Thank you Mr. Carmack for released the Quake 2 complete source code under the GNU General Public License. This huge news will change a little my plan. I will certainly migrate my total conversion project to the Quake II engine. An engine with enhanced graphics and good internet capabilities : the debate about quake1 vs QuakeWorld is now obsolete ! Good !
  Also, the major part of my work on "PHP Remote Procedure Call" is very modular, so the portage to Quake2 will be very easy.

  It's not a recent game, but Mega Team Fortress is a great demonstration of what can be do with the GPL Quake engine. On their web site www.megatf.net, you only have to download a setup.exe file and install the game. The engine is derived from QuakeForge, the whole game contain no copyrighted content, the game is free (Quake not needed) and the gameplay is really good.

  My necromancer was dead, but my new assassin has defeated BAAL in Hell difficulty : my Diablo II addiction problem is now solved ;-) ... more time for AfterMoon.

  Due to my Diablo II addiction, the update of this site is currently slown down. When my Necromancer will reach the rank of Guardian, it will certainly solve this problem ;-)

  The Quake Expo has just closed it door yesterday. I'm now sure that the GPL Quake source is the best choice for my project. It is now time to start the AfterMoon development.
